One Step at a Time

Got my car sold, rode a bunch today with E-man and Boy in East LA at my I guess you call it "local" park. It is my favorite at least. Bought some new photo gear for a shoot coming up. Just getting ready to dive into this next issue and get everything set with layouts and all that good stuff. After October things will be back to normal and more mellow which is going to be a good change of pace. Big photo issue coming up which will be a nice change. The photo is from my friends yard in Riverside. He is having a Halloween party and obviously gets stoked on it.

Expensive Coast

California is expensive in so many different ways. Gas, food, housing, drinks, entertainment..everything! It gets kind of old but I suppose that it is something that you get used to. I wish I made the money I do now and lived back in Syracuse..I would have a dope pad, new car and all kinds of other baller things. That photo was taken in Tampa, Florida just recently. Seeing as how I just paid $3.40 for gas today you can note the difference.

Busy as always

Just flew in from Florida yesterday afternoon. Spent hours on the computer writing later in the day passed out that night with my laptop on my lap. I feel like I have been busy non-stop for the past few months. Just got my truck today and need to sell my car. Things are good, just hectic. Florida was a pretty amazing experience for multiple reasons and we will leave it at that. The Dew Tour was rad and it was for sure the best stop of the year. Back to business as usual at the magazine and finishing up shooting photos for an interview I have been working on this weekend. Random photo from a pool session last year sometime.

Flying

I actually don't like flying. Do I love to travel? Hell yes..But at the same time, flying is such a hassle. Plus, your thousands of feet in the air and anything can happen. I suppose that holds true for walking down a busy street and worrying about getting hit by a car. Anyways, I have to catch a cab way too early and packing is taking longer than expected. So why not procrastinate a little more. The photo is from a trip I took last year to the Grands in Kentucky. Good times.

Back from San Fran

Got back from SF late last night after a long weekend. It was a good time, went up there for a contest and stayed with friends from NY so it is always fun. The contest was good, and I got a lot of other shots for full pages and spreads. Gotta stay productive. Office day tomorrow to wrap up some things then I fly out early Wed morning to Orlando for the Dew Tour and ABA Disney Cup. Should be a fun but super busy trip. 30th Anniversary Cover shoot

I got the chance to go down to San Diego recently to shoot the cover with Gary Young. It was a super fun day and good stuff went down. Needless to say I got the cover and it worked out for the 30th Anniversary issue. I am beyond stoked to have that chance and really appreciate the opportunity to have that part of BMX Plus! history. Also, Gary just flat out rules so to have shoot it with such a rad dude was a bonus. Hell Ya Gary!

LIFE

Life is weird sometimes. It is crazy to think that I have lived in LA for a year and a half now. Time flies by being out here and keeping so busy with the magazine. It is awesome to think that my job is seamless with my life. Riding and shooting photos of riding are two of my favorite things. Putting them together, traveling the country and getting paid for it and just gaining the life experience of moving by yourself across the country to start your career is insane. I guess what I am saying is that I am incredibly thankful for where I am at. The riding photo is from my old riding spot at my house in new york.
